Zhiqiu Jiang

I am a Ph.D. student in Constructed Environment. My research is highly interdisciplinary and focuses on empowering AI and data-informed decision-making for social good. Recent advances in information and communication technology and mobile devices create new opportunities for today’s transportation planners to understand travel behaviors using non-survey sources of data. My dissertation research utilizes new data and methods to analyze travel experiences and mobility patterns. I believe that artificial intelligence holds the promise of contributing significantly to the betterment of society. Broadly, I am captivated by the potential for AI to function as a catalyst, fostering a positive societal impact in the sphere of smart cities, with a particular emphasis on conducting ethical and responsible AI & Society research.
