Growing SNAC Cooperative Moves to UVa Library
Receives $750K Grant from Mellon Foundation
The Social Networks and Archival Context (SNAC) Cooperative will be permanently housed at the UVA Library. Recently the Cooperative received a $750,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, to fund the final stage of the pilot phase. SNAC was started in 2010, and has expanded to more than 3.7 million descriptions of people, families, and organizations.
