Matt Kirschenbaum, "The Bits of Literary History"

Matthew Kirschenbaum (GSAS English '99) is Professor of English and Digital Studies at the University of Maryland, as well as a member of the teaching faculty at the Rare Book School. He is the author of multiple books, most recently Bitstreams: The Future of Digital Literary Heritage (Penn 2021), from which this talk will be drawn. It will be of interest to those working in digital humanities, but also recent and contemporary literature, textual studies, and material culture.
