Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School

"The Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School (DHOxSS) offers insights, inspiration and training to anyone with an interest in the Digital Humanities, including academics at all career stages, students, project managers, and people who work in IT, libraries, archives, cultural heritage, and related industries.

We are pleased to announce that the Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School will go ahead as an in-person event this year, with morning lectures and interactive afternoon workshops. The Summer School will take place from July 11-15 at Keble College Oxford, with nine different strands:

  • Introduction to Digital Humanities Convenors: Dr Megan Gooch, Professor David De Roure (University of Oxford)
  • Applied Data Analysis Convenors: Dr Matteo Romanello (EPFL) and Dr Giovanni Colavizza (University of Amsterdam)
  • Crowdsourced Research in the Humanities Convenor: Dr Samantha Blickhan (The Zooniverse)
  • Digital Cultural Heritage Convenor: Dr Lia Costiner (University of Oxford)
  • From Text to Tech Convenors: Dr Mariona Coll Ardanuy, Dr Kaspar Beelen and Dr Federico Nanni (Alan Turing Institute)
  • Humanities Data Convenors:  Dr Meriel Patrick, John Southall, David Tomkins and Rowan Wilson (University of Oxford)
  • Introduction to the Text Encoding Initiative Convenors: Yasmin Faghihi, Huw Jones (University of Cambridge) Matthew Holford (Bodleian Libraries)
  • Linked Data for Digital Humanities Convenor: Dr Terhi Nurmikko-Fuller (Australian National University)
  • When Archives Become Digital Convenor: Dr Andrew Cusworth (University of Oxford)

DHOxSS 2022 will also offer an online version of the Introduction to Digital Humanities strand."
